Celebrate International Owl Awareness Day with the NSW Nature Conservation Council at the Safe Havens Winter Workshop

Join us at Banyula Conservation Reserve for an unforgettable afternoon and evening celebrating International Owl Awareness Day. Enjoy engaging presentations by wildlife experts, participate in a bushwalk to check nest boxes, and explore some of our old growth habitat trees, which are perfect for owls!

 Event Highlights:

  • Expert Presentations: Learn from leading wildlife experts about the fascinating world of owls and their habitats.

  • Bushwalk: Take a guided walk through the reserve to check nest boxes and discover the importance of conservation efforts in the Clarence and beyond.

  • Habitat Exploration: See large old growth habitat trees up close and understand their role in supporting diverse wildlife and learn ways you can protect them from fire.

 Evening Activities:

  • Dinner: Stay with us for a delicious locally catered dinner as the sun sets.

  • Spotlighting: After dark, join our team for a spotlighting adventure.

  • Listen for nocturnal wildlife and, with a bit of luck, you might even spot an owl!
